FROM THE STAGE

David Walker

David Walker has been leading worship for almost 8 years. He has been the worship pastor at CrossRoads Community Church in Greenville SC since 2004. He longs for the Church at large to be swept into the revelation that the "Lord is enthroned in their praise." When this takes place, he believes the revival of a generation will take place. He has seen corporate worship as a fundamental key that prepares the way of Lord and longs to bring others into that understanding. His relentless pursuit of excellence coupled with his restful sensitivity toward every critical moment make him a unique musician and leader. He unashamedly will lead you with a profound awareness of God'’s presence into the throneroom. He unapologetically will refuse to settle for less than God's best. David, his wife Lauren and two children, Levi and Zoe, live in Spartanburg SC.

In January of 2009 David released his debut worship album "Closer Than Angels." Producing the album was Jesus Culture producer and The Myriad front man, Jeremy Edwardson. Jesus Culture Artist, Kim Walker is also featured on various songs through the album. In 2009 songs from "Closer Than Angels" were picked up by Integrity Publishing. The worship anthem "Better Than I Know," co-written with Integrity songwriter and author of "How He Loves," John Mark McMillan was featured with Integrity. You can also find David's music on the 2009 Catalyst Worship Project alongside artists, Laura Story and Phil Wickham.
